Our final challenge of the 2024 2025 season. Winners chosen by member voting. Some excellent work and thanks to all who took the time to send in the photographs and vote.

Just for fun, our informal challenge to recreate or make an homage to a famous image. Everyone who took part had a lot of fun. Can you guess which ones are the originals? See for yourself!
uste pour le bonheur, notre défi informel de recréer ou de rendre hommage à une image célèbre. Tous les participants se sont beaucoup amusés. Pouvez-vous deviner quels sont les originaux ? Voyez par vous-même !
On 28th May the group enjoyed a day out at the famous water lily nursery of Latour Marliac. A little early in the season to see the nursery in its full glory, but nevertheless a super day out with shutters clicking at not only the lilies but also the other flora and fauna.
Here are a selection of the images from the visit, with many of the 'after' or edited photographs having the out of camera images for comparison
Le 28 mai, le groupe a passé une journée à la célèbre pépinière de nénuphars de Latour Marliac. Il est un peu tôt dans la saison pour voir la pépinière dans toute sa splendeur, mais c'était quand même une super journée, avec des clics d'obturateurs sur les nénuphars, mais aussi sur la flore et la faune.

Lee a jugé avec beaucoup de compétence et d'attention aux détails (dont certains dont nous ne soupçonnions même pas l'existence !).
This was our first print challenge for a number of years. The entries were uniformly of a high standard. In a members' vote we had a three way tie for the winner, and a two way tie for the commended photos.
Il s'agissait de notre premier concours d'impression depuis un certain nombre d'années. Les photos reçues étaient uniformément d'un niveau élevé. Lors du vote des membres, nous avons obtenu trois votes égaux pour le gagnant et deux votes égaux pour les photos recommandées.
Our third challenge of the season scoring points towards our Photographer of the Year. Judged internally by Howard Worf (who was never going to win PoTY anyway, according to him) we saw some excellent entries and difficult decisions.
Notre troisième défi de la saison nous permet de marquer des points pour notre photographe de l'année. Le juge interne, Howard Worf (qui, selon lui, n'aurait jamais gagné le titre de photographe de l'année), a reçu d'excellentes candidatures et a dû prendre des décisions difficiles

Our first informal challenge of this year. Inspired by Halloween and everyone had a lot of fun creating their spooky photographs.

Congratulations to committee member Lee Hargreaves on winning this year's Photographer of the Year Award. Well deserved. Lee has long been one of our very best photographers - his dedication and skill has paid off this year. And in a double whammy Lee's Sunflowers in Frost was voted by the members as the Photograph of the Year. Here's to a stiff challenge for the title in 2025!
Félicitations à Lee Hargreaves, membre du comité, qui a remporté le prix du photographe de l'année. C'est amplement mérité. Lee est depuis longtemps l'un de nos meilleurs photographes - son dévouement et ses compétences ont été récompensés cette année. Et pour couronner le tout, Lee's Sunflowers in Frost a été élue par les membres comme la photographie de l'année. Nous espérons que le titre lui sera fortement disputé en 2025 !
